Beginning October 15, 2008 and running through January 7, 2009, this 13 week program is designed to help individuals move beyond the pain of separation, divorce, or the end of a long-term relationship. DivorceCare helps people to begin the road to recovery. Sessions include topics such as “Facing My Anger”, “Facing My Loneliness,” “Depression,” “New Relationships,” “Kid Care,” and “Forgiveness,” as well as other important steps in the recovery process.

The DivorceCare program provides individuals with a support group of their peers, along with valuable information that will help them through this difficult time. The facilitators of the program understand the difficulties of recovery because they have lived through this experience themselves.

The weekly sessions/classes will be held at The First United Methodist Church located at 321 Third Street in Crowley, on Wednesdays from 6:15 until 8:30. Childcare will be provided at no charge if needed. The program includes a workbook at the cost of $12 each, but scholarships are available. Pre-registration is encouraged, but not required. Participants may also join the group at any time during the 13 week program.
